Raise Money for Gaucho Athletics While You Travel

You can help us raise funds that support Saddleback College athletic programs every time you travel. By simply using our on-line reservation and booking service, the built-in commissions which normally go to an internet travel company or a travel agent whom you don't know will now be steered to your favorite sport or support program within the Saddleback athletic department. We use the same (or similar) search engines which run the popular travel sites so you'll be able to make your reservations for basically the same cost as if you'd used one of those other companies. Saddleback Equipment Helps Third World Programs

Have you ever heard of the Togo Gauchos? Other than on this webpage, you probably never will. That's because it's a fascinating tale about how one man's trash is another man's treasure.

The story in a nutshell: Saddleback College had some old, well-worn soccer, volleyball, track and softball uniforms and equipment that it was getting rid of. Instead of just throwing the jerseys and equipment out, they were donated to a non-profit organization called Sports Gift which refurbished the jerseys and forwarded them on to a Peace Corp volunteer working in Togo, West Africa. There are no funds for girls sports in Togo. The jerseys and equipment helped the volunteers start nine girls soccer teams in Togo, providing these girls with their first opportunity to participate in an organized sports program.

Spring 2008 Honor Roll

The Saddleback College athletic department has announced that 101 of its student-athletes made the Spring 2008 honor roll for completing full-time coursework (12 or more units) with a 3.00 grade point average or higher. Included in this number were 19 student-athletes who posted a 4.00 GPA and nine student-athletes who competed in more than one sport at Saddleback.
